Technical Question |
[Xpanel] How can I 'write the value to Omron PLC'? |
Omron PLC can be written when its mode is monitor. So you must change the mode to monitor.
Please set the value of DM6600 to 0101h. Even though the PLC power goes out, it remains to monitor mode. You can only change the DM6600 by program mode.

[TOUCH/PPC] How can I install or configure my software permanently on CIMON-TOUCH? |
The Enhanced Write Filter (EWF) protects the disk volume (“C:” volume) of CIMON-TOUCH/PPC
from all kinds of write access.
l When you setup your operating system, utility programs or change any file data on “C:”
volume, those changes will not be stored on “C:” disk directly but on the EWF volume.
l If you restart your TOUCH/PPC, the original data would be restored to the C: volume,
and you would lost all newly installed programs, system configurations and changes on files.
l If you want to save new data permanently, you have to execute the “EWF commit”
as shown in the following screen capture. Then the TOUCH/PPC will be restarted and the new data will be effective.
l After installing a program and its configuration, please execute the ' EWF commit'
Otherwise all new program setups will be lost.
l If there is any change in operation system configuration, please execute the 'EWF commit'.
Otherwise all new program setups will be lost.
l After creating new files or folders, please execute 'EWF commit'.
Otherwise all new program setups will be lost.

[XPANEL]How can I export/import the XPanel¡¯s TAG DB to/from Microsoft Excel or other 3rd. vender programs? |
The XPanelDesigner does not have a special menu for TAG DB exporting and importing. However, the clipboard function of Windows can be used for the same purpose. Use the “Copy” function of “Edit” menu while the TAG DB window is opened and some of TAGs in DB are under selected state. And next, activate the Microsoft Excel, and use the “Paste” function of “Edit” menu. Following table can be helpful to edit each TAG data in Excel worksheet.

[XPANEL]How can I connect XPanel and XPanelDesigner via USB port under Windows Vista? |
V1.19 or later version of XPanel operating system supports Microsoft Windows Vista. For upgrading your XPanel’s operating system, please refer to the following document. http://www.kdtsys.com/UserFiles/bbs/QnA_060824_1_.pdf
The most recent XPanel operating system image is provided with XPanelDesigner. If your current XPanelDesigner does not include V1.19 or later version of OS image, you need to upgrade your XPanelDesigner first. Please check the web-page (http://kdtsys.com/eng) for the new version of XPanelDesigner.
And “Windows Mobile Device Center” is needed for PC instead of “ActiveSync” which is used under previous Windows version. “Mobile Device Center” is available at http://www.microsoft.com/.
